Don't even remember the last time I posted here ... I'm sure it was a good week ago at least!
Life keeps tickin' by ... working, sleeping, laundry, puzzles, eating, changing diapers and many, many other tasks keep me going. As most people have commented sometime in their lives, there seems to be a shortage of hours in our 24 hours day, and we are at least one day short for each 2 day weekend that whips by us! For us ... we make the most of every moment.
My job is going well, though challenging in many areas. I am taking advantage of those challenges and making hte most of them, trying to limit my complaining in the evenings when I realize that is still ONE more load to get in and folded before my head hits the pillow. Working-outside-the-home moms really have my admiration in a new way! I'm living it and it is a tough one! But there is a good man in the house and he sure helps out!
This past weekend was a finale service for the church starting pastor GS and his wife SS! Their family of six is moving to Manitoba in a week for a new position in church starting. We had a packed service program and lots of faces from their 9 years here in Montreal! I was responsible for the program and seeing it come together (I LOVE stuff like that) but sure was tired when it was all over. Then after the service we had a potluck lunch with the entire church. It was a great day of honouring, appreciating and loving this friends that will soon be moving on to the next season of life! We will definately miss them, but are excited for their new adventure!
And for us ... more of life continues. My father goes in for his Prostate surgery on Monday and Mom is finishing up her Political Science degree while their first book is ready to be printed! (You can keep up to date with them here.) We also enjoyed Saturday morning with Gino's family (including LINA!) and had breakfast together. What a great gift ... life, alongside family. (You can find some pictures here.)
Here's to you and your life! May you enjoy every moment, difficult or exciting!
