Today was a loooong day.
Today marked the day my parents completed their UK trip and their stop over at our place. Buddy and I took them to the airport for their long-awaited return home to Lethbridge. They have been gone for 3 months and mentioned how much they enjoyed their trip, but are looking forward to their own bed tonight. Isn't that the truth? I feel the same way when I return home from being away for an extended period of time.
In the midst of saying goodbye, my son's cold decided not to leave but just settle in for a little longer stay. The poor guy seemed to have conquered 2009's Winter Woes when this bug came for a visit. He's now in bed, (with new McQueen bedding thanks to Nanny & Pa!) comfortable and drugged with a little medicine.
Despite the short visit this time, we were able to spend some fun times together at home and Zig Zag Zoo-the ultimate indoor Jungle Gym! At my request, my parents picked up a Thomas floor puzzle that I had seen in England and didn't bring home. Duh! What was I thinking. So they gave it to him this week and he can almost complete it by himself! And then we spent a morning at Zig Zag Zoo which always goes over well ... Here are some of the pix to prove it.
