My parents have spent just over two months in their home country-the UK-managing a guest house and are on their way home today. When they booked their flights six months ago, they planned to come for 2 weeks on their way to England and then stay with us just a few days on their return. I think it was less expensive to pay for two return flights, Calgary-Montreal return and Montreal-England return. That meant that they would spend Christmas with us here, which is the first since we moved across the country almost nine years ago. We had a great time together at Christmas. Now they are on their return and we are picking them up from the airport this evening! 'Nanny & Pa', as Buddy calls them, are only here for four days this time. And originally we were okay with that ... but now, although they are here for four days, I have a new job, Buddy has daycare and we will only have two days with them. Yes, we will have every evening ... but when they live across the country, to not be with them for the majority of their stay here seems unfortunate. It is unfortunate. But we are determined to make the most of each of those days! So ... no church tomorrow. Just a day with the family. Maybe a walk if the sun is shining, or a play date at Zig Zag Zoo with the entire family! Whatever we decide on, I know Buddy will be all over it (them!) and we will make more of those memories to digi-scrap!
