First Week Down

Phew!  This past week was a challenging one, but rewarding on some fronts.

Some of you read about the challenge that Sept 28th would bring me and my son.  It came, it went ... and now we are gearing up for our second week.  Was it easy leaving him behind at a group daycare when I had vowed that wouldn't be done til he was a least 3?  No ... definitately wasn't easy.  However, we took it day by day, and he is adjusting.  With a few tears, but adjusting none the less.  The hardest part was when he saw me hangin' with my pre-k-ers just outside his window!  His little face brought across the greatest teary eyes and pouty face.  A heart breaker he is, but he's also a bit of a DK (Drama King!).  I have NO idea where he gets that from!!

The ladies there are great there tho.  They know the mommy-hat that I wear throughout the day, the curious 'can-I-see-him-through-the-bathroom-door-crack' mommy antics that take place.  Most of them have already been through it.

So here we go tomorrow!  Another day where I share my gifts and passions with someone elses kids who are a bit older than my boy, while my son gets to explore and discover under someone else's wing.  It's all good ... just another opportunity for both of us to grow into someone bigger and better ... right?  Please tell me I'm right ...

Until next time ...
