He is Risen, He is Risen INDEED

Today is the day those of us who have accepted Christ relate our Salvation too. Yes, Christmas day when Jesus came is the first, but today is that day that marks our eternal hope.

Unfortunately this Easter weekend make for a 'procelain throne visit' for me ... fortunately only once, but the feeling of having to visit it face first was with me for the majority of the weekend. This morning, the quiziness has subsided, but the after effects of a tired body, muscle aches and hunger (but nervousness to eat!) are still with me. None the less I realize that this is nothing compared to the beatings and death Christ took for me on the cross.

I am soooooo grateful for today-Resurrection Sunday-as it offers me, should I accept, eternal life. Not only for after death, but for here on earth too. Through days that offer challenges or trials, Christ offers that hope for better things. He is the reason I get up in the morning ... whether I am ill or well. He has given me breath, and so with that breath I offer him my life.

This morning I was not able to attend church and lead worship with my hubby, but I was able to read and sleep. Two things that I know are beneficial for this 24 hours of recovering my body needs. I am now praying for a dose of energy as my husband whisks me to St. Saveur for a night of relaxation. Thank you honey, it is SOOOO needed.

With that said, HAPPY EASTER! This Easter, may your choice be eternal life through the gift of Jesus death and resurrection ...
