This week has marked Buddy' first week of Daycare.
We have been incredibly blessed to have found a (hard to find) spot with a great home care provider who takes care of 5 other children! She is fantastic!! (And a cute blonde if I might add!) I look forward to the time Buddy spends with her and his new friends. This week he has gone three times, just for an hour or two for a gradual entry. Although a little nervous at first,(more like "Do I have the control of keeping mom here with my antics?") he does just fine once I have left. In fact, we had our first 'my son's growing up' moment.
I picked him up after 2 hours and he gave me his first art project. Some of you may know that I am an Early Childhood Educator by profession and passion so I have been on the caregiving side of this equation. And I have to admit, that I have found some parents to be OVER THE TOP when it comes to their child's creation. Well ... I am officially one of those OVER THE TOP parents!! Yup ... me. A little dramatic at times, but completely lovestruck with my son and so it comes out with his first art project. And like other first time moms, it's on the fridge!
However, I do think I differ in one way. I HATE clutter! So I have already snapped the digi-photo and am ready (in a couple days) to toss the real thing. Don't hate me for it. Just know that there is enough clutter in this country home to do us for years of organizing. And I am determined to not add anything else. Afterall, I have the photo! Come on!
Here is that masterpiece ... oh and look closely. There are letters on it. And he could tell you what those letters are if you were to have a conversation with him. Not what they spell, but what they are. (I know ... a little biased!)
