6 Sleeps to Go!

This time next week, Buddy and I will be in the UK with my family. My parents immigrated to Canada over 40 years ago, but all my aunts, uncles, cousins, cousins kid etc are still in England. My two sisters were born there, but were under 10 when they moved to Calgary.

Right now, my parents are spending time in Worthing looking after a guest house for a couple months. (Check out Norford's Rambling on the right) So, my sisters decided it was time for a 'sisters act' in the UK. Needless to say, we are headin' for a Norford party next week and I can't wait.

My mom, being the organized planner of the team, has put together a family reunion party on the Saturday afternoon. I think the majority of the extended family will be there and it should be loud and yummy! There's always great food when my mom takes charge of these things.

I am anticipating some great conversations as us girls are together. You see, there are 16 and 18 years difference between my sisters and I. You could say I was more than an after thought. They are 20 years ahead of me with their children getting married, having kids and their businesses running well. I have much to learn from them and am soooo looking forward to it.

(Sisters Karen front, Heather behind me. Sons and son-in-law behind us)

Buddy and I leave next Monday eve and I am making sure those haircuts are done, Canadian souvenirs picked up and the special 'new' toys are in the carry on. Man ... I can't wait!

PS I'm not sure if I have posted an updated link for my most recent digi-scrapped pages ... in case not, check them out HERE.
