So, here we go again. We seem to be notorious for renos. I guess part of that comes with buying houses that are still decorated in the 70's or are needing some TLC.
Our home sweet home now is incredible! We are truly blessed ... we have 2 acres with a pond in the front, a bondfire pit in the back and about half an acre of woods for my young boy to explore. It is truly incredible.
We have redone the majority of the house already ... 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, living room , dining room, you name it, it's been done. And now we have decided to close in the double garage with the hopes of a building detached one in the next few years. The main goal for this reno is a home based preschool! It's always been my dream, and it's on its way. I can't believe it to some degree, but thrilled to the other degree.
I spent my first four years in the Early Childhood field as Supervisor of Fraser Glen Preschool, a ministry of my home church back in BC. Those were my favourite 'career' days! I miss them with a passion. So now, we are attempting to do it here. Kindertown is on it's way. The first year, starting in September, I will operate as a daycare, with the goal of September 2010 to change over to a Preschool structure. I have one registered and they haven't even seen the space yet ... and it's not my son! I can't believe this is happening already. We are officially takin' the dive!
Here are a couple pix from the first day of labour thanks to my talented husband, wonderful friends who have given up a couple days of their time and of course my son ... he always gets involved!
I'll keep ya posted as we move ahead! YEAH! YIKES!
