I realize why Spring is such an uplifting season!
This weekend really marked Spring for me. As a family, we spent a great deal of it outdoors. From relaxing by the pond, to burning wood and picking up leaves. Then Buddy and I baked cookies and muffins. This morning he helped me make the pancakes. And this evening the two of us went bike riding. (Sore buttocks marks another Spring moment for me!)
Last year Buddy really enjoyed riding on the back of my bike with me. Although he was young, he knew how to get my attention for mommy-buddy bike time. Today was not different. I told him the bike was ready to go and he was there lickety-split. And then when I turned the corner of our street to come home, all I heard in his precious, whiney voice was "more bike, more bike Mommy". He seemed to enjoy it and I LOVED it. I am really looking forward to getting into shape with my son tagging along!

PS - I'm glad to report that 'Hand, Foot, Mouth Disease' skipped over our house. We are now praying the same will happen with the H1N1 flu!
