Seasons :: Pitter, Patter

Ever wondered what your life would look like at 36 years of age?

I sure did.  I figured I would be taxi-ing 3 or 4 preteens or teenagers to all their extra curricular activites, running my own education centre and would be thrilled with the condo we just bought in Cuba!

OK.  So the Cuba condo thing is a little far fetched!  Hopefully it at least gives you an idea of the dreams I am able to conjure up.

My reality?  Life in a beautiful home that's actually too big for my little family of 3 (+2 fur-kids), recovering from a really rough few years of real life and so incredibly thankful for the health and unity of my immediate and extended family.

Also my reality ...

An absolute miracle in Luciano.  He was my fourth pregnancy, first one carried to term.  He is an amazing, bright and sensitive boy.  He is starting to show some real character (in good and challenging ways!) that often reminds me of the faith of a child.  Every night his prayers include thanking God for giving him a great day at daycare, requesting a trampoline (which has come to pass!) and asking for a brother and sister.  Yup.  A brother AND sister!  Yikes ... the faith of this child doesn't realize the tough reality that would come with that!!

On a more serious note, I say he has often been the 'glue' that has kept me and our little family together.  God definitely knew what He was doing in the timing of Buddy's arrival!

One additional snapshot of my reality ...

Taking this family tree of THREE ...

... and making it a family tree of FOUR!  (Or if God really blesses the heart cries of a child ... maybe it's five!)  Either way, this will be a pregnancy that marks my fifth kick at this can!  So yup.  Your thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.  The long journey of patience, wisdom and sleep begin today.

We are ready for this part of the journey ... and thrilled (tho nervous about getting excited.  Rightfully-so!) to meet this little bundle ...

Thx for reading ... have a great one!

PS  Like the photos!?  Our faithful and talented photographer Amanda from Beauty Unfading Photography snapped these photos a few weeks back.  Thx lady!  Props! *insert fist bumps here*
