Seasons Come ... Seasons Go

So ... once again we are making a move.  At least that's the hope.

Our home was listed with an agent almost 2 weeks ago.  Since then we have had at least 12 visits, and since noon today, we have an offer on the table.  Actually, we have a counter offer on the table.  One thing we have learned with all the homes we have bought and sold (this is our second ... *wink wink*), is that the whole thing really is a game.  And to succeed, you either have to play the game or not care.  Well, we care.  So we are in for a game I guess.  Our move today was to counter offer something closer to our end goal since the buyers seem to think they can get this place for penny!  They seem to be in a dream world I'd say!

As for me, I have had a couple moments already today.  In reality, this is my dream home.  When I walked through it almost four years ago, I fell in love with it.  Now, the 1976 decor - not so much, but we took care of that!!  A couple blogposts found here and here can give you a snippet of what we have done around here.  The layout truly is perfect.  A simple rectangle frame, with 4 bedrooms upstairs, huge living spaces and kitchen, not to mention the mini forest in the backyard.  I really do love this home.

During our meeting today with the agents, my son was playing in the backyard.  As we were reading through the offer, I watched outside my dining room window to see an extremely content, happy and exuberant three year old!  He was chasing the dogs with the super soaker and having the time of his life.  I realized that we are on the verge of moving onto something different ...

And what is that something different?  We are yet to figure that out.  It will include a move out of province, probably Ontario or Alberta.  That detail has yet to be decided.  Nothing like living on the edge!!!  In fact, if we come to an accepted offer and conditions are met with these buyers, we have to be out of here by Nov 25th!  So ... hopefully the next couple weeks will clear up where and what we are doing after this season comes to an end.  I am excited ... yet nervous at the same time.

So ... as I often say, 'it is what it is' and here is where it stands.  Time will once again help in the deciding factors ... will keep you posted!
