For the past 5 days I have been sick, sick, sick ... first what I thought was a chest cold, but seems like it turned into the famous pig flu! I started Tamiflu within 36 hrs of onset and started feeling better by the next day. When I say feeling better, basically NOT feeling dead! I was wiped with chills, fever, and complete exhaustion. Today I'm still tired, but am able to get myself to the bathroom without taking a break half way there! That flu shot I was gonna get this week ... now it will be next week I guess.
Needless to say, I have had a few hours to myself (Buddy in daycare and G working) while I lay on my butt, watch TV or kep up to date with friends on facebook. My fingers were the only extension of energy I had! I actually came across this video a couple weeks back and was taken back with the reality of our life in Canada. We truly are blessed with a freedom few people in our world today have. And there are many people who have fought for that freedom over the years. These videos below reminded me of that blessing. May I continually be reminded of that freedom each day.
