It amazes me how life gets a hold of you once in awhlie and things get left undone. For me that was this blog. With the personal life journey and the global life journey, things like blogs and Fall clean ups just didn't get done. Thus such a lag in a blog update. There's so much going on in my head that I feel like I have five or six blogs to write. But for now, I'll keep it simple!! One thing that I do for myself is this blog. It is one of my 'down times' and a venue for my creativity. So to that, I say my tardiness in being here is unacceptable. Plain and simple.
The world seems to have noticed a little something happening south of us here in Canada. I don't know if you noticed it or not. I have realized in the last 48 hours, that there is a lot going on in peoples hearts about this new president-elect. Normally, I stay pretty clear of major political things just 'cause I still have lots to learn when it comes to speaking my mind without coming across as stubborn in my way of thinking. However, I am intrigued with how poeple are processing this milestone in American history and want to learn more about it. I have my ideas and thoughts on it (probably one of those five or six blogs to come at a later date!) but most of all, I just want to hear peoples heart on it so that I am not one of those stubborn-minded, ignorant brats that have her lips flapping to the wind. All that to say is ... Obama is the man for president. Accept it. It's a done deal. You? Where are you on this history milestone?

Okay so I thought I could find "a" verse to explain how I feel but I came across "a bunch" of verses that cover this issue, so I will summerize and not add the verses, I am lazy and you know the bible more than I, I am sure ;O)
Basically God says that he's in control. When I look at either democracy or monarchy and even anarchy, I see his hand in it. The lack of control in the middle east is not above the power of God's work, it's not a mistake that Steven Harper is Prime Minister in a minority government and still the Queen of England has quite a lot of power in the entire world. As for the White House having a black man in power, I say, it's about time. I thought about the fact that there was a woman prime minister both in the UK and for the short while here in our country and felt that those were also historical events in and of themselves but keeping in mind that God had it happen. It sounds like a pat answer or even a cop out for not wanting to discuss it further, but don't you see how God can direct a democracy easier than one stubborn person? Either way, the bible teaches us that he gives and takes, allows and stops up the evil one but all in all and when it's all done HE is in Control.
