Beautiful Fall

One of the things I love about Fall are the colours. Here in the East, we are loaded with Maple trees so the colours each fall are INCREDIBLE! I have never been so amazed than during the Fall in Quebec and Ontario. The last couple days I took trips to Ottawa (my favourite place!) and was captivated by the bold colours either side of the highway. I was driving down the TransCanada, completely blown away with bright orange, yellow and reds. How can one say that some big bang created the concept of fall and the colour of leaves? It seems like such a cop out to me!

Anyway ... one of the things we did this past Thanksgiving weekend before heading to 'Thomas's' big show, was visit the "Festival des Couleurs de Rigaud" in the town just minutes from us. (Remember my favourite park post? Same town.) It was very cool. Lots of people, great food, history and some good ol' fashioned apples. A staple for fall, don't you think? Luciano had a blast running around, checking out everything and making sure he explored every area. Of course he grabbed himself an apple and enjoyed the whole thing. I think I took only one good bite ... the rest was his! We got a few pictures that will be fun for scrappin'!

Speaking of scrapbooking! For my birthday I got PhotoShop Elements 7!!! YEAH! For those of you who are digi-scrappers, you probably have been using it for a while. Not me. I have been using CM digi-scrapping program (see post here) which has served me well. But now I want to rise to the next level. I see the difference between what I am able to do with Storybook Creator Plus and what my friends have done with PSE. My girlfriend has some incredible layouts and I am ready to create and rise to the next level! I will definitely keep you posted on those new layouts!

As much as I love the beauty and magnificence of this province, I truly miss the east at this time of year. Dreary Vancouver weather vs the images of fiery reds, vibrant oranges, yellows that rival the sun then mixed with the last of the green are burned into my brain from being born in Ottawa. Every fall I remember looking up to the Gatineau Hills and also truly marveling at how God could have created such beauty. Thank you for sharing!

If you have any questions, you know where to find me *wink*.
